1. Agreement to Terms

By creating an account or using the treefort application and related services (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

treefort ("we," "us," or "our") reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes through the app or by email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Service Description

treefort is a parent-controlled private Minecraft play network. The Service allows parents and legal guardians to:

  • Create a managed network of approved Minecraft connections for their children
  • Set and enforce play schedules at the server level
  • Review in-game chat logs between connected children
  • Approve or deny connection requests from other families

treefort provides the infrastructure for children to play Minecraft together in a controlled environment. Children connect to treefort's Minecraft servers using their existing Minecraft accounts.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and the parent or legal guardian of any children you add to treefort. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that:

  • You are at least 18 years of age
  • You are the parent or legal guardian of each child whose profile you create on treefort
  • You have the legal authority to consent to these Terms on behalf of yourself and your children
  • All information you provide is accurate, current, and complete

4. Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the accuracy of your account information
  • Keeping your account credentials secure and confidential
  • All activity that occurs under your account
  • Notifying us immediately at families@jointreefort.com if you suspect unauthorized access to your account

You may not share your account credentials with any other person or allow another person to access the Service through your account.

5. Subscriptions and Payment

treefort is a subscription-based service. Subscriptions are available on a monthly or annual basis and are processed through Apple's App Store.

  • Free trial: New accounts are eligible for a 14-day free trial. If you do not cancel before the trial period ends, your subscription will automatically begin and you will be charged.
  • Auto-renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel. Monthly subscriptions renew monthly; annual subscriptions renew annually.
  • Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your device's App Store subscription settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial billing periods.
  • Price changes: We may change subscription prices from time to time. Price changes will take effect at the start of the next billing period following notice of the change.

All payment processing is handled by Apple. We do not collect or store your payment information. Apple's terms and privacy policy govern payment transactions.

6. Acceptable Use

You and your children must use the Service in a responsible and lawful manner. The following conduct is prohibited:

  • Harassing, bullying, threatening, or intimidating other users
  • Using cheats, hacks, exploits, or modified Minecraft clients on the treefort network
  • Sharing account credentials with any other person
  • Attempting to circumvent play schedule restrictions or other parental controls
  • Using the Service for any illegal purpose
  • Attempting to access another user's account or data without authorization
  • Transmitting harmful, offensive, or inappropriate content through in-game chat
  • Interfering with or disrupting the Service or its servers
  • Misrepresenting your identity or your relationship to a child

7. Child Safety and Parental Responsibility

treefort provides tools to help parents manage and monitor their children's Minecraft play. However, treefort is not a substitute for parental supervision. You acknowledge and agree that:

  • You are responsible for supervising your children's use of Minecraft and the treefort network
  • You are responsible for reviewing chat logs and play activity as you see fit
  • You are responsible for the connections you approve for your children
  • treefort does not monitor, moderate, or filter in-game chat in real time
  • While we enforce play schedules at the server level, children may access other Minecraft servers or activities outside of treefort

8. Chat Logging and Transparency

All in-game chat messages sent on the treefort network are logged and stored. Chat logs are visible to the parents of all children involved in the conversation. By using the Service, you consent to this logging and understand that other connected parents will be able to view messages sent by your children.

9. Intellectual Property

The treefort name, logo, and Service design are the property of treefort. You may not use our branding, trademarks, or intellectual property without prior written permission.

You retain ownership of any content you provide through the Service, including profile information and chat messages. By using the Service, you grant treefort a limited license to store, process, and display this content as necessary to operate the Service.

10. Third-Party Services

treefort integrates with third-party services including Microsoft (for Minecraft account verification) and Apple (for payment processing). Your use of these third-party services is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies. treefort is not responsible for the practices or policies of third-party services.

11. Minecraft Trademark Notice

Minecraft is a trademark of Mojang Studios, a subsidiary of Microsoft Corporation. treefort is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Mojang Studios or Microsoft Corporation. treefort is an independent service that provides a managed play environment using Minecraft's server infrastructure.

12. Account Suspension and Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account, without prior notice, if we reasonably believe that:

  • You have violated these Terms
  • Your use of the Service poses a safety risk to other users
  • Your account has been used for fraudulent or illegal activity
  • Continued provision of the Service to you is no longer commercially viable

You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at families@jointreefort.com. Upon account deletion, your data will be removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

13. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE, OR THAT ANY DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED.

14. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, TREEFORT AND ITS OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, OR DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE, REGARDLESS OF THE THEORY OF LIABILITY.

OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO TREEFORT IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

15. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless treefort and its officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or in any way connected with your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

16. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Colorado, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in the State of Colorado, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.

17. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that the remaining Terms remain in full force and effect.

18. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and treefort regarding your use of the Service and supersede any prior agreements.
